About the Artist

Li Kuimin, also known as Chengxi Zhaizhu, hails from Weishan, Shandong, and currently resides in Canada. He is known as Li Weishan. He grew up in a scholarly family, immersed in the world of books, and developed a passion for calligraphy and painting from a young age. He initially studied the Liu style of calligraphy, practicing diligently for decades and deepening his immersion. Later, he thoroughly researched and assimilated the styles of various masters such as "Two Wangs" (Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi), Ouyang Xun, Mi Fu, Yan Zhenqing, and Su Shi. In Chinese painting, he inherited from the Lingnan School while also drawing from the strengths of renowned artists like Qi Baishi, Li Keran, and Wu Changshuo, gathering diverse artistic elements to form his unique style. He is a powerful calligrapher and painter. His works possess both traditional depth and personal style, holding great potential for collection and appreciation.
