About the Artist
Li Kuimin, originally from Weishan, Shandong, now resides in Canada. Growing up in a scholarly family, he was immersed in books and developed a lifelong connection with calligraphy and painting. He initially studied Liu Gongquan's calligraphic style, later delving into the works of "Two Wangs" (Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi), Ouyang Xun, Mi Fu, Yan Zhenqing, and Su Shi. For decades, he diligently practiced calligraphy, deepening his understanding and integrating various styles. In traditional Chinese painting, he inherited from the Lingnan School, while also drawing inspiration from masters such as Qi Baishi, Li Keran, and Wu Changshuo. By incorporating diverse artistic elements, he has developed a unique style. His works possess both traditional depth and personal character, offering significant potential for collection and appreciation.
