About the Artist
Li Kuimin, also known as Chengxi Zhaizhu, hails from Weishan, Shandong, and is currently based in Canada. He is often referred to as Li Weishan. He inherited a scholarly family tradition from a young age, immersed in the aroma of books, and developed a lifelong connection with calligraphy and painting. He began his calligraphy studies with Liu Gongquan's style and diligently practiced for decades, deepening his mastery. Later, he thoroughly studied the works of "Two Wangs" (Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi), Ouyang Xun, Mi Fu, Yan Zhenqing, and Su Shi, integrating their styles. For traditional Chinese painting, he studied under the Lingnan School and drew inspiration from renowned masters such as Qi Baishi, Li Keran, and Wu Changshuo, gathering a wide range of artistic influences to form his unique style. He is a powerful calligrapher and painter. His works possess both traditional heritage and personal style, holding significant potential for collection and appreciation.
