About the Artist
Li Kuimin, also known as Chengyizhai Master and Li Weishan, hails from Weishan, Shandong, and now resides in Canada. He was exposed to classical learning and literature from a young age, developing an early connection with calligraphy and painting. He initially studied the Liu style of calligraphy, practicing diligently for decades and deepening his expertise. Later, he thoroughly researched the works of the Two Wangs, Ouyang Xun, Mi Fu, Yan Zhenqing, and Su Shi, integrating their styles. In traditional Chinese painting, he followed the Lingnan School, while also drawing inspiration from renowned masters such as Qi Baishi, Li Keran, and Wu Changshuo. He has absorbed various artistic influences, developing his own distinctive style. He is a powerful calligrapher and painter whose works possess both traditional depth and personal character, offering significant potential for collection and appreciation.
