About the Artist
Li Kuimin, originally from Weishan, Shandong, is now settled in Canada. He began his artistic journey at a young age, immersed in his family's scholarly traditions and developing an early connection with calligraphy. He initially studied the Liu style of calligraphy, later delving into the works of the Two Wangs, Ouyang Xun, Mi Fu, Yan Zhenqing, and Su Shi. For decades, he practiced diligently, deepening his immersion and achieving a comprehensive mastery. In Chinese painting, he inherited the Lingnan School style, while also drawing from the strengths of renowned masters such as Qi Baishi, Li Keran, and Wu Changshuo, embracing diverse artistic forms to develop his own distinctive style. His works possess both traditional depth and personal character, holding great potential for collection and appreciation.
