About the Artist
Li Kuimin, originally from Weishan, Shandong, now resides in Canada. He was nurtured in a scholarly family from a young age, immersed in the aroma of books, and developed an early connection with calligraphy and painting. His calligraphy initially followed the Liu style, later meticulously studying the works of the Two Wangs (Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi), Ouyang Xun, Mi Fu, Yan Zhenqing, and Su Shi. For decades, he practiced assiduously, delving deeper and integrating various styles. In traditional Chinese painting, he inherited the Lingnan School, while also drawing inspiration from masters like Qi Baishi, Li Keran, and Wu Changshuo, embracing diverse artistic elements to form his unique style. His works combine traditional heritage with personal flair, possessing great potential for collection and appreciation.
