About the Artist
Li Kuimin, also known as Chengxi Zhaizhu and Li Weishan, is originally from Weishan, Shandong, and now resides in Canada. He was nurtured in a scholarly family from a young age, immersed in the aroma of books, and developed a connection with calligraphy and painting early on. He began his calligraphy studies with the Liu style, diligently practicing for decades, achieving deep immersion. Later, he thoroughly studied the works of "Two Wangs" (Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi), Ouyang Xun, Mi Fu, Yan Zhenqing, and Su Shi, integrating their styles. For traditional Chinese painting, he learned from the Lingnan School, while also drawing inspiration from masters like Qi Baishi, Li Keran, and Wu Changshuo. He extensively absorbed various art forms, developing his own unique style. He is a powerful calligrapher and painter. His works possess both traditional depth and personal style, with great potential for collection and appreciation.
