About the Artist
Li Kuimin, also known as Chen Xi Zhai Zhu or Li Weishan, is originally from Weishan, Shandong, and now resides in Canada. He was nurtured in a scholarly family from a young age, developing an early connection with calligraphy and painting. He initially studied Liu-style calligraphy, practicing diligently for decades and deepening his immersion. Later, he thoroughly researched the works of Er Wang (Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi), Ouyang Xun, Mi Fu, Yan Zhenqing, and Su Shi, integrating their styles. In traditional Chinese painting, he inherited from the Lingnan School and also drew inspiration from masters such as Qi Baishi, Li Keran, and Wu Changshuo, gathering diverse artistic influences to form his own distinctive style. He is a powerful calligrapher and painter whose works combine traditional foundations with personal flair, possessing great potential for collection and appreciation.
