About the Artist
Li Kuimin, originally from Weishan, Shandong, is now based in Canada. He began his artistic journey early, immersed in a scholarly family environment and having a deep connection with calligraphy since childhood. He initially studied the Liu style of calligraphy, later delving into the works of the Two Wangs (Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi), Ouyang Xun, Mi Fu, Yan Zhenqing, and Su Shi. For decades, he diligently practiced calligraphy, deepening his immersion and achieving mastery. In traditional Chinese painting, he inherited from the Lingnan School, while also drawing inspiration from masters such as Qi Baishi, Li Keran, and Wu Changshuo. He synthesized various artistic styles, forming his unique approach. His works combine traditional foundations with a personal style, possessing significant potential for collection and appreciation.
