About the Artist
Li Kuimin, originally from Weishan, Shandong, now resides in Canada. Having grown up in a scholarly family, he was immersed in a literary atmosphere and developed a connection with calligraphy and painting from an early age. He began his calligraphy studies with Liu Gongquan's style, later delving deeply into the works of the Two Wangs (Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi), Ouyang Xun, Mi Fu, Yan Zhenqing, and Su Shi. For decades, he diligently practiced calligraphy, deeply immersing himself and synthesizing various styles. In traditional Chinese painting, he studied under the Lingnan school, also drawing inspiration from famous artists such as Qi Baishi, Li Keran, and Wu Changshuo, adopting a wide range of artistic techniques to form his unique style. His works combine traditional heritage with personal flair, possessing great potential for collection and appreciation.
