About the Artist
Li Kuimin, also known as Cheng Xi Zhai Zhu and Li Weishan, is originally from Weishan, Shandong, and now resides in Canada. He was nurtured by his family's scholarly traditions from a young age, developing a deep connection with calligraphy and painting. He began his calligraphy studies with the Liu style, diligently practicing for decades and immersing himself deeply. Later, he meticulously studied the styles of Wang Xizhi, Wang Xianzhi, Ouyang Xun, Mi Fu, Yan Zhenqing, and Su Shi, integrating them thoroughly. In traditional Chinese painting, he inherited from the Lingnan School, while also drawing inspiration from masters such as Qi Baishi, Li Keran, and Wu Changshuo, embracing various art forms to forge his unique style. He is a powerful and accomplished calligrapher and painter. His works possess both traditional depth and personal style, holding great potential for collection and appreciation.
