Kaishu (Regular Script) "Tiaoxi Poem Scroll" - First Poem
The "Tiaoxi Poem Scroll," originally written in running script by the famous Northern Song calligrapher Mi Fu, is one of his surviving masterpieces. Calligrapher Li Kuimin has meticulously re-transcribed this poem in a dignified and rigorous regular script, creating a unique work – he masters the artistic conception of running script with the discipline of regular script. Each stroke is precise, the character structures are stable, and the spirit is restrained yet lively, making it an independent original creation in regular script.
