About the Artist
Li Kuimin, master of Chengxi Studio, originally from Weishan, Shandong, now resides in Canada. He is known as Li Weishan. He inherited a scholarly family tradition and was immersed in books and calligraphy from a young age, forming a lifelong connection with ink and brush. He began his calligraphy studies with the Liu style, diligently practicing for decades and deepening his immersion. Later, he thoroughly studied the works of the Two Wangs, Ouyang Xun, Mi Fu, Yan Zhenqing, Su Shi, among others, integrating their styles. For traditional Chinese painting, he inherited from the Lingnan School, while also drawing from the strengths of masters such as Qi Baishi, Li Keran, and Wu Changshuo, widely absorbing various art forms to develop his unique style. He is an accomplished calligrapher and painter. His works possess both traditional depth and personal style, holding great potential for collection and appreciation.
