About the Artist
Li Kuimin, also known as Li Weishan, is the owner of Chengxi Studio. Hailing from Weishan, Shandong, he is now based in Canada. He began his artistic journey at a young age, immersed in a scholarly family environment and developing an early affinity for calligraphy. Initially, he studied the Liu style of calligraphy, practicing diligently for decades, deepening his mastery. Later, he meticulously studied the works of "Two Wangs" (Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi), Ouyang Xun, Mi Fu, Yan Zhenqing, and Su Shi, integrating their styles. In traditional Chinese painting, he inherited from the Lingnan School, also drawing inspiration from renowned masters such as Qi Baishi, Li Keran, and Wu Changshuo, adopting diverse artistic approaches to form his unique style. He is a powerful calligrapher and painter whose works possess both traditional depth and personal character, offering significant potential for collection and appreciation.
