About the Artist
Li Kuimin, also known as Chengxizhaizhu and Li Weishan, is originally from Weishan, Shandong, and now resides in Canada. He was exposed to scholarly arts from a young age, inheriting a family tradition of calligraphy and painting. He began his calligraphy studies with the Liu style and has practiced diligently for decades, delving deeper into the art. Later, he meticulously studied the works of Wang Xizhi, Wang Xianzhi, Ouyang Xun, Mi Fu, Yan Zhenqing, and Su Shi, integrating their styles. His Chinese painting lineage traces back to the Lingnan school, while also drawing inspiration from masters such as Qi Baishi, Li Keran, and Wu Changshuo. He widely absorbed various artistic elements, forming his own distinctive style. He is a powerful calligrapher and painter whose works possess both traditional depth and personal character, with great potential for collection and appreciation.
