About the Artist
Li Kuimin, also known as Chengxizhai Master and Li Weishan, hails from Weishan, Shandong, and is currently based in Canada. He was nurtured in a scholarly family from a young age, developing a deep connection with calligraphy. He initially studied the Liu style of calligraphy, practicing diligently for decades and achieving profound mastery. Later, he meticulously studied the works of the Two Wangs (Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi), Ouyang Xun, Mi Fu, Yan Zhenqing, and Su Shi, integrating their styles. In traditional Chinese painting, he inherited from the Lingnan School and drew inspiration from renowned masters such as Qi Baishi, Li Keran, and Wu Changshuo, absorbing various artistic influences to form his unique style. He is a powerful calligrapher and painter whose works possess both traditional depth and personal character, offering significant potential for collection and appreciation.
